This morning, the entertainment world was buzzing over a report that The Jay Leno Show will be cancelled by NBC.

The network quickly released a statement more-less shooting the report down.

Now the plot thickens.

TMZ is now reporting that Jay Leno will be moving… back to 11:30 pm ET.

We’ve learned Jay’s 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided — whether Jay’s show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay’s show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O’Brien.

The change is reported to happen after the Olympic break. But this leaves us with a few questions.

  • What happens to Conan O’Brien?
  • What does NBC put at 10:00 pm ET?
  • Will Leno actually be back on The Tonight Show, or will it be The Jay Leno Show?

Of course this story is developing, so stay tuned.
