NBC Executive: Leno Will No Longer Be At 10:00 pm ET
It has been confirmed folks.
Today at the TCA pres-tour, NBC Executive Jeff Gaspin confirmed that Jay Leno will be moving from his 10:00 pm ET timeslot.
“It performed to our expectations, it did not meet our affiliates’ needs,” Gaspin said.
The move will happen on February 12th.
Gaspin’s hope is Leno at 11:35 pm ET, Conan at 12:05 pm ET and Jimmy Fallon at 1:05 am ET. However no deals are in place.
The 10 pm ET timeslot will be filled with two scripted dramas, one reality-series, and extended episodes of Dateline NBC.
He hints possible Friday Night Lights, and last season of Law & Order: CI could fill the void.
Of course, the future of Conan O’Brien on NBC is still up in the air. Gaspin said he would love to keep Conan, however he did not say more. It was reported earlier that Conan was unhappy with the proposed move, and could be headed to a new network.
