ABC Cancels Ugly Betty But Will End Its Season

Ugly Betty moved to Wednesday to save itself, but it looks like it was too late.

ABC has announced today that this will be the final season of Ugly Betty. The network has cancelled the series, although it let the show complete its fourth season.

“We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

Ugly Betty was moved to Wednesday nights with the other comedies in hopes to see a ratings bump. Unfortunately for it, it wasn’t the case.

    It’s rare that i say this about good shows, but it was Ugly Betty’s time.
