Last week, the CSI franchise made history when one character appeared on all three shows of the series in a 3-episode crossover event.
The trilogy began with CSI: Miami on Monday when Dr. Ray Langston was called-in when a severed leg is found in Miami that was linked to a missing person’s case from Las Vegas. Then on Wednesday, the case lead Langston to New York City as part two aired on CSI: NY. Finally, the case made it back home to Vegas when the conclusion aired on the original CSI.
Crossover episodes are nothing new. A character from one show appearing on another show is often a way for networks to boost ratings. And as a TV fan, it’s always cool to see a character in a different environment.
This got me thinking… what crossover episodes I would like to see? Here’s my list of dream crossover episodes, with a short synopsis of it.
Grey’s Anatomy and House
Seems like a natural fit doesn’t it? Two hit medical dramas. The episode would take place on Grey’s Anatomy as Chief Webber falls suddenly ill. No one knows what’s wrong with him, so in a desperation move, Bailey calls in a favour.
And here enters Dr. Gregory House at Seattle Grace Hospital. On arrival, House loses no time making his mark. No time to learn names, he makes them up. Meredith is “Whinny”, Izzie is “Hot Blond”, Alex is “Boy Band”, and Christina is “Cut-Throat Bitch II” (remember, C.T.B I is Amber).
House quickly discovers that it’s easy to get distracted in this place with all the drama going on. It takes him a white-board just to figure out who slept with who! He finds his new team annoying and clingy. Of course he calls them idiots several times.
By the end, he ends up curing Chief Webber. House heads back to Princeton-Plainsboro, with a new appreciation for his old team.
House slept with 3 nurses during his visit.
CSI Miami and Dexter
The CSI team finds the dead-body of a man in his home. The crime-scene is extremely bloody, and the team is having a tough time gathering evidence. So they call Miami’s blood-expert, Dexter Morgan.
Little does the team know about Dexter is his little secret. The dead-body found in the house, he was Dexter’s latest victim. He just didn’t have time to dispose of the body like he usually does, and now he has the CSI team calling him!
At the end of the episode, we have the inevitable face-off between Dexter and TV’s most annoying character Horatio Cane. Cane is on Dexter’s trail, and confronts him.
In my version, Dexter kills him off, and television audiences everywhere applaud. Feel free to email me your thank you notes.
Heroes and Lost
Not sure what happens here, but all I know is that it will be watched by 12 people, someone will be killed off then brought back to life (somehow), and you’ll need a PhD to figure out what the hell is going on.
The Big Bang Theory and Fringe
Sheldon and Leonard think they found the remains of alien, but aren’t quite sure. After doing excessive research and found nothing, they call the FBI. They send special agent Olivia Dunham, Peter, and Walter Bishop to investigate.
During this cross-over, the possibilities of hilarity are endless. Sheldon teaches Walter how to play “Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, and Spock”. Leonard can’t figure out why Peter looks so familiar. “Are you the guy on Dawson’s Creek,” he asks. “That was in another life-time,” Peter mysteriously answers.
Let’s not forget a cameo appearance from William Bell, who’s played by Leonard Nemoy. The boys’ reaction of seeing the former-Star Trek star alone makes this crossover so worth it.
Glee and 24
Jack Bauer saves William McKinley High School from terrorist just in time for the glee club’s next competition. Come on, who doesn’t want to see Jack Bauer interrogating his suspect with music and dance!
There you have it, just a few crossovers that would be pretty damn entertaining to see. Networks please email me before you steal my ideas! What do you all think? Is there any crossovers you would like to see?

LOL, good comedy series in the making. You should be a show writer.
Dexter walks in with a box of donuts and hands Horatio a donut. Little does Horatio know that the donut was poisoned. Horatio dies and then dexter takes horations sunglasses and says “Looks like his eyes were bigger than his stomache” puts the glasses on and walks out of frame.
‘Big Bang Theory’ with ‘How I Met Your Mother’ would be awesome!
Howard and Raj sign up for a Pick Up Artist class and who is their teacher? None other than Neil Patrick Harris’s Barney!!!
!!!!
The other half of the episode would have Ted be given an assignment to design an extension building to where Sheldon and Leonard research. Sheldon would keep harassing Ted because the designs doesn’t agree with real physics!
Oh man! I would LOVE such an episode!!!!!!
Psych and The Mentalist (sorta)
While a serial killer in Santa Barbara causes havoc, Simon Baker star from “The Mentalist” makes a pit stop at the precinct where he meets his old girlfriend Juliet O’Hara. A jealous Shawn who inadvertently ditches a dinner date w/Abigail and finds that Mr.Baker may have come to Santa Barbara with some ulterior motives! Dunt Dunt Duhhh.
Being Human and True Blood
I say international crossover. Sookie and Eric go overseas to seek answers as to who kidnapped Bill. On their journey they run into Mitchell who invites them to their flat in Bristol for clues.
