Season Premiere Watch: September 27th – October 2nd
By Tim Wilkins
We’ve had 3 weeks of premieres so far and this week is pretty much the rest. A few will come in later. With so many new shows, which ones are you watching so far? Which shows do you not love? Have you ‘broken up’ with an established show for a new TV love? Let’s see what fresh delights are coming this week.
Sunday, the 27th of September, will have many premieres. Sunday nights are finally “alive.” CBS has Emmy-winning ‘Amazing Race’ with a 2 hour premiere followed by the premiere of CBS’s ‘Cold Case.’ I will be recapping the ‘Amazing Race’ so check that out starting next week.
ABC brings back it regular line up of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers and Sisters.” Out of those 3, I love “Desperate Housewives” and I’ve only glanced at “Brothers and Sisters.”
FOX debuts the 20th season of “The Simpson’s” and the first season of “The Cleveland Show.” “TCS” is brought to us by “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane and is a spin-off of “Family Guy.” “FG” follows on FOX and then ends with “American Dad.” I love Fox’s Sunday night. Adam did an advance review of “The Cleveland Show” you can check out HERE.
Also of note for Sunday night is the premiere of Showtime’s “Dexter.” Adam wrote an advance review for the Season Premiere (Here), and Darby was lucky enough to interview “Dexter” star David Zayas aka “Angel Batista.” Please check out that exclusive interview here. “Californication” also premieres this Sunday on Showtime.
On Monday, the 28th of September, we have NBC’s “Trauma” and FOX’s “Lie to Me.” I won’t lie to you. I’ve never seen “LTM” and as for “Trauma” I hear it has a great opening and is being compared to NBC’s “Third Watch.”
On Wednesday, the 30th of September, ABC debuts the new shows “Hank” and “The Middle.” “Hank” stars Kelsey Grammar and “The Middle” stars Patricia Heaton. Can these two stars have another hit television show? What do you think?
The last 2 premieres fall for the week are Thursday, October 1st, ABC has “Private Practice.” Will ‘Violet’ survive? Where’s the baby? Do you care? Friday, October 2nd brings us FOX’s “Til Death.” I didn’t know that was still on. I haven’t watched it.
So, what premieres are you most looking forward to? Please leave a comment below. Also, please back with TV Done Wright for show recaps and more.
