Report: American Idol Judge Simon Cowell Close To a New Three Year Deal
It looks like American Idol will not be losing Simon Cowell anytime soon.
It has been reported that Cowell is close to signing a new contract to stay on the hit FOX series for three more seasons at least. This puts end to speculation that he would be leaving Idol after his contract runs out.
Details of the contract are still unknown, but it is expected he will earn $45 million per year as judge. This is up from $36 million from his previous contract.
This news comes nearly a week after the news of Paula Abdul leaving the show.
American Idol is auditioning right now for their next season, debuting next January.
