It's Official: Neil Patrick Harris To Host The Emmys

Yesterday I Tweeted that Neil Patrick Harris was in talks with CBS to host the 2009 Emmy Awards.

Well folks, it’s official! NPH will be hosting the Emmys.

After his gig as host for the Tonys, which raked in record ratings, the”How I Met Your Mother” star was a favourite for the Emmy gig.

Harris was also a logical choice because he’s one of CBS’s biggest stars.

The award season this year has been kind, however last year at the Emmys raked in rating low ratings.

The pressure is on NPH to liven things up with his comedy and awesomeness!

The Emmys will air on CBS on September 20th, 2009.
