As Heard on TV: “Bad Things” by Jace Everett (True Blood theme song)

It’s time folks for another edition of As Heard on TV.

In this edition of A.H.O.T, it’s a no-brainer. One of the hottest shows of the summer is HBO’s True Blood. Setting record ratings for the network, tearing up the DVD sales charts, and it’s definitely one of the most talked about shows.

But for every hit show, there’s a catchy, can’t get out of our heads theme song.

“Bad Things” serves as the show’s opening theme. The song, which suits the show so well, is by Jace Everett.

The country band released their first self-titled album in 2005. “Bad Things” was the album’s 2nd single, which surprisingly was didn’t even chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs.

But on September 7th, 2008, HBO brought the single back to life when it premiere on True Blood.
