When ABC decided to bring back Scrubs for a ninth season, creator Bill Lawrence promised the show would have a whole new look.
Well…he wasn’t lying.
Instead of the main action happening at Sacred Heart hospital, the show will move its focus to medical school.
And who will be teaching the young minds? Dr. Turk (Donald Faison) and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) will be leading the way. I can only imagine Cox’s teaching methods.
Although the main focus will be on the new students in medical school, Sacred Heart will still have a small part of the show. Also original cast members Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes and Ken Jenkins are all scheduled to appear as guest stars.
Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing “Janitor” (Neil Flynn). Flynn will be busy with his own new ABC sitcom The Middle, co-starring Patricia Heaton.
What do you all think of these changes? Feel free to comment below.

I think the idea of a new show is great but they need to accept that this is a spin off and not call the show scrubs. Scrubs finished for me when j.d left the hospital. Carla should be a regular, she is married to turk, where is he going to go when he finishes work. I am sorry to hear the Neil Flinn will not be in the show, because as the janitor he was great and there are still plenty of people for him torrorise in the hospital.
